So excited to post my first video! I had a blast at the District Sample Sale last Tuesday and hope this clip gives you a good feel for what it was like. What did I enjoy most?
The location! This was the first event held in the old Filene’s Basement space in Friendship Heights. The spot was Metro accessible, spacious, and packed with full-length mirrors. Plenty of room to drop trou and try stuff on, but also plenty of room for pop-up tents for the more modest ladies.
The variety! This fall’s sale featured great new vendor faces, including ShopMamie and Corby Collection (full disclosure- that’s where I made my purchases. Haul post coming soon).
The desserts! Best-in-show goes, not surprisingly, to Georgetown Cupcake, but creperie Napoleon was a close second with a delectable Nutella-strawberry confection. It was the first time I’d seen a few dessert vendors, including Pinkberry and Kalorama Cookie Company.
