As I mentioned in my post on Wednesday, I recently found my dream fur vest at Designer Consigner Boutique in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. I was simply waiting for the right occasion to wear it. Then came my apartment’s holiday party, and I thought, “Perfect.” All that I needed was just that extra little something. Inspiration hit on Instagram (where else?) when I noticed Tammy's bright neon. And so, an outfit was born. I kinda like it.
WATCH WITH ME WEDNESDAYS: Skinny Jeans, Faux Fur Vest, and OTK Boots OOTD! by Sherri Style
I picked Sherri’s video this week for style inspiration. You see, finally, finally, my quest for the perfect faux fur vest ended over the long Thanksgiving weekend. I found it at Designer Consigner Boutique in Bethlehem, PA while browsing with my mom-in-law. I absentmindedly mentioned my quest for the vest and co-owner Alex picked out the perfect item- a Bisou Bisou faux fur vest. You’ll see me wearing it in the very near future… if you didn’t already see it on Instagram. (Thanks Alex!)
But for now, enjoy how Sherri of Sherri Style puts her spin on almost my exact vest (hers is brown, mine is black/gray). The chambray dresses the vest down enough to be quite casual. I think she wears it well, don’t you?
WATCH WITH ME WEDNESDAYS: Fall to Winter Styling Ft. FashiontoAny- by BuiYaoBeauty
It was a little warmer in DC on Monday. But make no mistake, the winter chill is here to stay. So I’m gravitating toward videos that will teach me how to use my layers creatively, like this one from BuiYaoBeauty. She pulls together three very different outfits here (cropped floral turtleneck in one, all-neutral ensemble in the other) and they all look fab. I would’ve loved to have seen an outfit incorporate flats, but that’s just me. Happy watching!
WATCH WITH ME WEDNESDAYS: Food Friendly Fashion- A Thanksgiving Style Guide, by Chriselle Lim
Wondering what to wear that will stand up to your Thanksgiving Day indulgence (and over-indulgence?) Well, Chriselle Lim has you covered with her Thanksgiving Style Guide video. This video was made last year, but all the pieces are still very on-trend (Hello, printed cropped pants!)
My family Thanksgiving celebration is very casual, so I didn’t bring a dress along, but I certainly got inspired by the more casual options. Another inspiration I found was at Penny Pincher Fashion- I’ve paired a purple v-neck argyle sweater with a red collared shirt. Unexpected win!
I loved everything about this video- though I will say I fast forwarded through the intro about Thanksgiving itself and went straight to the clothes. :P Perhaps I’m just impatient.
